RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Wednesday, June 28. (Before T. A. Mansford, Esq., K.M.)

Judgment was given for plaintiffs by de-. fault in the following cases with coats ; - Thomas Anderson v. Thomas Woodmore, claim, L 8 Is 3d, goods supplied; Mary Johnstone v. J. J. Atkmson, L 8 8s 3d, for wages; Weir and Samson v. A. R. M‘Leod, L 5 Is 9d, goods supplied ; Guthrie and Larnac hj v. 0. H. Attwood, L2B 5s Bd, timber supplied. Harris Friedlich v. Joseph Peart,—Claim LlO 10s Id, for goods supplied. This case was adjourned from Wednesday last for the production of a receipt.—Mr Lewis appeared for plaintiff, Mr E. Cook for defendant.— His Worship said that this was one of the most complicated cases which ever came into Court. There must have been a great deal of perjury on one side, and he would take till 2 o’clock to consider the evidence. —Judgment was eventually given for plain* tiff, with costs. Adamson v. Woodcock.—Claim 126 2s fid, for work done as an accountant at 2s fid per hour. Mr Bathgate for defendant.— Judgment was given for defendant without costa, the work having been voluntarily undertaken.

John Webb v. Paul Leyden.—Claim Ll 13s, for work and labor done. Judgment for plaintiff, witb costs.
