In addition to this the * London Journal 1 presents subscri bers with * ladies’ supplement containing traced patterns for a fashionable costume and a colored fashion-plate. *Bow Bells.’ gives some pretty patterns for crochet and lace doyleys, and nuxnber,-, less patterns for dressmaking and needlework; also, a' carefully-executed colored fashion plate, by a Parisian artist. The ‘Young Ladies’ Journal’ is essentially a family magazine. The endless patterns (01 children’s clothing and all kinds of jackets bonnets, ornamental needlework for houst UriArij lace, and crochet work cannot fail to be appreciated, which they deserve. Many useful bits of information can be obtained on various; subjects by reading the notices to correspondents and subscribers which are published in the journal. The large supplement has traced patterns for the jacket and tablier for summer costume. The Honiton point lace pattern sheet is exceedingly beautiful this month, and could be easily adapted as a drape for a corner bracket; —
