Wellington, June 26. At the Aramoho Steeplechases, postponed to Saturday, the attendance was small. The weather was threatening, and the course heavy and dull. The following are the results : Aramoho Annual Steeplechase, of 120 sovs., Becond 1.0r5.?, 20 govs, from stakes. Three miles; Mb overw.f.a. Butcher Boy ... ... ... ... ... l Sultan... ... ... ... ... . 2 M.P.C. 3
A splendid race, ten running. Medora came to grief. Maiden Steeplechase, of 30 sovs., added to a sweep of 2 sovs. each. Two miles. StAlban's ... ... ... ... ... i Cornet ... ... ... ... ... 2 Brilliant ... ... ... ... ... 3 This was also a good race. Gate Purse, of 5 boys. Half-mile heats. Karafcaka ... ... ... ... ~, 1
By winning the above steeplechase, Butcher Boy's winnings for the season are increased to L 305. In the statistics published by us last Thursday the amount was stated to be L 205.
