There have been several accidents in the district lately, in two cases to children through horses.' Mr Carmiohael, of the North Tdieri, was proceeding along the road with his dray on Wednesday last, when he found a son of Mr W. He took the lad home, and the latter is getting on favorably under I'r M'Briarty r scare. The boy had been lying senseless for some time. Mr iidmouds, of the North Taieri, was thrown from his horse on the same day, had four ribs broken, and was severely •oaken. Mr H<>dge, of the Colonial Bank, also has a son laid up through being kicked and trampled bn by a horse Tunning loose through the streets of Outram. His leg was broken in two places, besides which he received a severe scalp wound, and suffered from coneuesion of the brain. Truly this is a chapter of accidents. * The West Ta<eri Rifles decided at their monthly parade that the new uniforms should be of grey cloth (Mosgiel tweed) with blue facings.
