THE SAILORS’ HOME.
To the Editor. Sib,— Might I suggest that a most excellent site for a Sailors’ Home would be a piece of the wharves and quay reserves, between Hanover and Albany streets, it would’be a legitimate use to put a portion of the ground to. The SailonPHome Com* puttee might (seeing that We Harbor Hoard has not taken up the question), ascertain how the Corporation trusteeship account stands in relation to the reserve The" management of the reserve was only transferred to the Corporation, the funds or revenues derived from the same to be ex*, pended for the like" public purposes, .for which they were originally granted, Ths 'building; of a. Sailors’ Home might legitimately b? considered as coming within the scope of the purposes for which the reserve was set apart.—l am, &c., ■ r. v Old Salt. ..Dunedin, June 10. -
