* Wellington, June 2. At the adjourned meeting of the Titanic Steel aUd Iron Company, held last night, the shareholders from other Provinces were "not represented, but the several resolutions from Dnnedin And Taranaki.were read and discussed. The Chairman pointed out with reference to the supposed allotment of 500 shares to Mr T. M. Smith, that there would, be nosuch allocation unless the patent showed they could workthesand profitably, audhe was certain that;, although the patent might be successful practically, it could not possibly be so financially, and there need be no apprehension of any claim being made upon the company respecting those five hundred shares. The result of the meeting was thatthe directors were empowered to put the company’s furnace in blast with as little delay as possible.
Auckland, June 2. A’public meeting last night passed resolu tions-condemning the delay in the construction of -the Kaipara railway. - The ‘ Cross - cbntradicfcs the. rumor that the Ministry intend to propose another six million loan. '
