FIRE AT SAWYER’S BAY.
A very destructive fire* which totally consumed the saw-mill of Messrs Barrowman and Nordloff, at. Sawyer’s Bay, occurred midnight yesterday. It stems ; that Mr* Barrowman visited the mill at lO'p.ttt., ahd found everything safe. He thin went‘hdmh> to bed, and was awoke at midnight by-John Robins, oneof the workmen, who informed him the mill was in flames*; Mr Barrowman at once proceeded to .the spot, and found ear arrival that nothing oonid be done to save the£ building, which in the course of a short time was totally consumed.
