One of those very unusual circumstances occasionally heard of was withessM in Burrangong, and . has caused .no little, amount of conversation and surprise. The local ‘Chronicle ’ says “A lady who had been suffering for some days in bed, and who was expected to breathe her. last every moment, was being watched hy a number of kind friends and some-members :of her family. On Tuesday morning. she seemed to grow very feeble, and between seven and sght o’clock stretched her limbs out to the full extent, and gav6 a sigh. It was generally thought that she was dead, and the woman who was to lay her out., was sent for. In the meantime, an attempt was made to take the rings off her fingers which was done at a request rtiade by herself on' a pre- - vxous occasion. Some trouble was experienced in removing one of the rings, and the second one could not be got oyer -the knuckle joint. During all this time there way not the slightest sign, of breathing nor pulsation, in fact, one of the muses present, who had many years’ experience, had no doubt abouther being dead. She was for aconsiderable time in this state, and when she awoke all those who were in the roodt were completely surprised? j
