’ The decree promulgated by Marshal MacM&hcm announcing that an International exhibition ; will be held in Paris in 1878, is regarded as a proof of confidence in the existing institutions, and a general desire for peace. The London Colonial wool sales have been resumed. Xhe opening sales exhibited a languid ,toffe, And prices are Id; a, lb ; lower. 110,000 bales were of which 3,000 were withdrawn. The market afterwards became firmer. ' Superior woel showed a partial recovery.
