MAUDE, Oamaru, will sell on 2lst • June (see special advertisement) the Awamoko Estate near Oamaru, comprising 4,450 acres agricultural land, in lots, with ample railway communication. One section of 50 acres has been laid off, comprising the present Awamoko Coal Mine, so as to bewitbin the means of practical miners. The coal is a very superior quality of brown coal, as it will get up steani quicker than Newcastle, though it not so lasting; and for household purposes is unexceptionable, having no smell. The mine is in the centre of a large agricultural district, and there is no other coal known within 10 miles on the one side and 20 on the other. The mine is inexpensive to work, being simply drives int > the face of the hill, with plenty of drainage and a good roof. The coal is a four to five feet seam, lying nearly flat.
