The amount of revenue received at the Customhouse on erooda cleared for consumption this day was 1 939 12s Id. "W® have received the twenty-seventh report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society, which shows that during the past year 4,144 new policies have been issued, yielding annual premiums to the amount of L 53.647 16s sd. The number of policies issued since the establishment of the Society to the 31st December, 1875, is 30.39. ! , assuring 1,11,861,476, So 156 have been discontinued, leaving 23,240 existing policies, assuring L 9,053,911. The annual revenue of the Society is L 408.627 10s 9d. Funds on the 31st December, 1875, amounted to L 1,684,265 4s 7d. Mr Hesly DrxvEß (on behalf of the N. Z. L. and M. A. Co.) reports for the week ending 23rd May, 1876 Fat Cattle.—l6s head were yarded at sale to-day, the greater portion being only of medium quality, aud the trade being well supplied, bidding was very languid, last week’s prices being scarcely maintained. Best bullocks brought from LU to Ll4 10s: do cows, L 7 to Llolos—or equal to 32s 6d per ICOlbs for prime quality. We sold 100 head at the yards and privately during the week. Fat Calves.—About 10 were penned, which sold at from 25s to 755, Fat Sheep,—l,7oo penned, the trade taking the greater portion. We quote best cross-breds at from 12s to 15s; merinoes, 7s to 9s 6d, or equal to 3d per lb for former and 2Jd for latter. We sold 500 at tho yards. Store Cattle.—There is inquiry for 'grown bullocks for winter feeding at from L 7 to L 9: mixed lots arc also saleable at from L4los. Store Sheep —Very liftle business doing, although a demand still exists for young merinoes.
