ARRIVAL OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.
Auckland, May. 22. The Australia arrived irom Kandavau ' with the English and American mails this morning, having connected with the City of New York at Kandavau on Saturday week. The Colima arrived on that day. The City of New York sailed for Sydney on the . 17th. Sir Daniel Cooper is a passenger. Heis understood to have come with the intention of having the Kandavau connection superseded by a direct line to the Bay of Islands. Roberts, the champion billiard player, and Kirby, theatrical agent, with Mr and Mrs Header, sensation artists, are- passengers for Sydney. The Georgia Minstrels and Oates’s Opera Bouffe Company follow. Passengers, per the Australia, for the : South, which leaves at eleven o’clock, are Mr and Mrs Duncan, for Fort Chalmers*, and one in the steerage for Wellington. f /
