THE DE MURSKA CONCERTS.
There was another splendid house at the Princess’s last night, when the concert postponed from Friday was given. Mdlle. de Murska gave three solos-the bolero from “The Sicilian Vespers,” a serenade by Schubert, and the “mad scene” from “Lucia di iammermoor.” The last-named was the great attraction, as although Mdlle. de Murska gave the scena at the Queen’s Theatre about a fortnight ago, on this occasion the effect was considerably heightened by the singer appearing in appropriate costume and with the aid of scenic effects and orchestral accompaniment. The result was that this selection proved the greatest success achieved during the whole series of concerts, Mdlle. de Murska’s exquisite vocalisation and finished acting creating a perfect furore. Signor Susim gave an aria from “ 11 Matrimonio Segreto ” with great "effect, and in a duet from “Martha” this gentleman and Signor Rosnati were, as usual, highly successful. To Signor Rosnati’s lot also fell the “ Preghien,'’ from “I Lombardi,” which was magnificently sung. Signor Giammoua played two of his best flute solos, that on airs from “II Barbiere” being perhaps the more successful. Signor lUa a pianoforte solo, for which he received an encore.
To-morrow evening Mddle. de Murska will take a benefit, and the occasion will be the last appearance of the company in Dun edin. Among the choicest pieces selected to form the programme are an “ Ave Maria,” composed by Signor Ilia; “Casta Diva,” from “.Norma ” ; and the “Miserere” duet fi’om “II Trovatore,” in which signor Rosnati will take the tenor part. Signor Giammona, a baritone singer of no mean order, will appear for the first time here as a vocalist in the trio of “ Pappalogge,” with Signori Rosnati and Susini.
