Heavy Losses. “Yes, these are awful times, ’ said a broker, as he stood on his steps talking to a friend. “ I’ve been investing and inventing for a year back—a pile of money, I can assure you—and I find I have been losing If I’ve lest a shilling, I’ve lost more than a hundred thousand pounds.”—“No!”— “ Certain,” continued the broker; “ and what makes me worse is that fully a hundred and fifty pounds of it was my own.”
