BAU,En. May 9, —Toiaroa, s.s., 228 tons, Stewart,' for Timam. Passengers: Mesdames Richie, Maxwell, Miss Morrison, Messrs Richie, Maxwell, M'Leod, Bosch, Smith, Mndie, Willis, Thomson, and five in the steerage.

The barque Harriett Annitage, having sufficiently lightened was towed to Dunedin yesterday afternoon by the tug Geelong. The brig Prairie was towed up the harbor yesterday afternoon to discharge her cargo of Hobart Town produce. The Albion Company's steamer Toiaroa, with cargo and passengers for Timaru, sailed last night. The barque Frederick Bassell, which arrived in port on the 2nd inst. with a cargo of coal from Newcastle, wi 1 proceed to Timaru the first slant of wind to discharge. The schooner Clio, with a cargo of building stone from Oamaru, arrived yesterday afternoon] and sailed past the Port to Dunedin. The ketch Anna, with a cargo of grain from Kakanui, arrived yesterday and proceeded up the harbor with a fine N.E. breeze.

Messrs Houghton aud Company’s s.s. Express sails this evening for her usual trip to the Bluff. The Union Company’s steamer Beautiful Star will departure this evening for Timaru. The N. Z. Company’s steamer Ladybird arrived from Poverty Bay via intermediate ports at eight this morning, and steamed alongside the ship Wild Deer to discharge 1,500 sacks of grain. She left Poverty Bay at 4.30 p.m. on the 4th; called at Napier, Wellington, and Timaru, at which port she took on board 1,500 sacks of grain, and loft for Port Chalmers at 6.20 p.m., arriving as above. After discharging her grain, she proceeded to Dnncdiu to take in cargo for her return trip.

SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wellington, May 9.—Sailed: Phoebe, for Lyttelton and South, at 4 p.m. Passengers: Messrs Turner, Stephens, Westbury, J.W. Wilkins, Deane. Mrs Boyes and child, 13 original, and nine steerage. Newcastle, May 9.—Easby sailed for Wellington with 180 tons of general cargo, 1,300 tons coal, and 15 passengers.
