Have your boiler half filled with water, and when at scalding heat put in half a common tea-cup of the Fluid: stir, and put in your clothes } boil for half an hour, then rub lightly through one suds only, rinsing well in the bluing water as usual, and all is complete. This fluid brightens instead of fading the colors in calico. It is a great lab»r-eaver, npt on y saving the two rubbings which women give their clothes before boiling, and more than half of the soap, does not injure the clothes, but saves their wear in two rubbings before boiling, and is a good article fo? removing grease from floors, doors and windows ; it also read ly remove* grease ami tar from the hands.
