An instance of rapid telegraphy has been brought under the notice of the ‘ Lyttelton Times.’ A gentleman placed a telegram in the Christchurch Telegraph Office at 3.10 p.m. one day. and it was received in Hull, Yorkshire, at 7.7 next day, and found on the office table of the addressee when he went to his place of business at 10 a.m.
