Dunedin, May 3, 187 G. To the Members D.V. Fire Brigade.
In reply to your favor oi the above date, I have only to say that it is quite evident you do not understand the duties and responsibilities of a City Councillor, but for your information and guidance I may assure you that should you have any grievance to lay before the Council, I feel certain it will have the Council’s courteous consideration. —I am, &c., Barnard Isaac, Councillor for High Ward.
