The barque Bobyoito, iu ballast, sailed for Newcastle this moruiug, with a S.W. wind. The schooner Pioneer took her departure this morning for Oamnru.
The ship Loch Awo was removed from the powder-ground by the tug Geelong this morning, and moored alongside the railway pier to discharge. The Union Company’s steamer Hawea left the railway pier this afternoon, with cargo and passengers for the Northern Ports.
The Albion Co.’s s.s, Taiaroa, with cargo and nine passengers, arrived from Timaru at six this morning, and steamed along-ide tbe ship Wild Deer to discharge 2,010 bags of grain and 42 bales of wool She left Timaru at 7.20 p.m. yesterday; had light N. winds and fine weather to arrival.
Ti.e snip May Queen was hauled into the stream yesterday to complete preparations for sea, and will take her departure to-morrow morning for Loudon, with a full cargo, consisting of 2,034 bales of wool’ 140 tons wheat, 14 casks ol tallow, and 5 cases sundries, of the total value of L 70,755. Messrs Houghton and Co.'s s.s. Express, with a full cargo and 14 passengers, arrived at. 8.45. this morning. After binding her passengers at the railway pier, she steamed up to Dunedin to discharge She left the Blulf at 0 p.m. yesterday; had light N.W. winds along tne coast to arrival. Captain Fraser reports sighting a barque between Dog Island and Rapoka, supposed to he the CtcsareUjitcL. , The brigantine Sea Gull, from Kaipara, with a full cargo of timber, sailed up yesterday afternocn. She left Kaipara on the 15th ult. with a northerly wind which continued ns far as Mocraki, when it hauled to the E., and shortly after shifted to the S., increasing to a perfect gale. She was hovc-to for three days, during which time she drove sixty miles north of Banks Peninsula. The wind moderating and shifting to the K. enabled her to come along the coast,
