DUNEDIN SCHOOL COMMITTEE
At the regular meeting of the above, held last evening, there were present Messrs Robin (chairman), Ramsay, Livingston, Strode, Sherwiu, 8011, Fish, Street, and Wright. The Chairman stated that he seen the Saeretavy of the Education Board i egarditig the appointment of some or eto look after the! classes at the Middle District School, vice Mr T. Halliwell. resi* ed. Mr Fitzgerald, Master of the Normal School, consented to do what lay in his power in the matter, both with regard to the classes, pupils, and teachers. — Accounts amounting to about Lsowere sent in by Mr Halliwell, with reference to his residence, which the committee refused to recognise. Mi-s Fraser's resignation of her position as pupil teacher at the Albany street School was accepted, Mr. Fish’s moti n, “That all books used i the Dunedin schools should he uniform,” was agreed to. Mr. A. Barretr, principal of the Collegiate School, was elected Hoad Master of the Middle District School.
