Tuesday, April 26. (Before T. A. Hansford, Esq., R.M.)

An Old Offender.— Joseph Gresnil, a man of color, who had been previously before the Court, was charged with being drunk and with resisting Constable Coffey in the execution of his duty. The prisoner’s conduct was very violent while being conveyed to the lock-up.—Sergeant Morkane informed the Bench that the accused was a most dangerous man, and had previously been fined for parading the streets with a billet of wood.—His Honor inflicted a penalty of 40s, in default seven days’ imprisonment, with hard labor. CIVIL CASES. Frederick Lamb v. Peterson,—Ls for illegally detaining certain articles. Mr Joyce for defendant. Adjourned till Tuesday for the production of witnesses. G. Starkey v. H. Smith.— L2 6s Sdfor board and lodging, Mr Joyce for plaintiff. Judgment was given for the amount claimed with costs.

John Ball v. Richard Medex. Judgment was given for 16s and costs, and possession of the house to be given by Tuesday next.
