Entries for the Dunedin Derby of 1877 and 1873 closed last irght at Dunedin, Christchurch, and Auckland. The full descr ption of the horses nominated is not yet to hand, but the Dunedin Jockey Club are in receipt of telegrams shewing the following returns-Derby of 1877 : Dunedin, 11 entries; Christchurch, 15; Auckland, 2; total, 28. Derby of 1878: Dunedin entries, 13: Christchurch, 19; Auckland, 4; total, 33.
