JOURNALISTIC ABERRATION.

To the Editor.

Sir, —Your contemporary, the * Daily Times,’ takes sudden fits of aberration of intellect, oscillating'between opposite sides of a question with such wonderful rapidity as almost to stupify the minds of its readers. To-day it makes remarkable and most emphatic statements, and ten to one if tomorrow’s issue does not expose—although done in blissful ignorance of its contradictory character—the absurdity of its previous convictions. It swallows rumors wholesale and commits them to paper right off, as if the fate of Europe depended upon its readers receiving the earliest possible intelligence. Happy * Daily Times,’ endowed as you are with such on easy-going and elastic conscience. More power to you, “ole man;” go on and prosper, for those who read your columns do so with the same Intentions and prospects of enjoyment, as they do the ‘Danbury News’ and its lively contemporary, tne ‘ Detroit Free Press.’—l am, &c., Pepper. Dunedin, April 13.
