In accordance "with our usual custom there will be no publication of the Evening Star to-morrow. The Press Agency sends us the information, evidently derived from one of the Wellington newspapers, that “his Excellency will be advised to summon Parliament for the 15th of June for the despatch of business.” The Oamaru Hospital seems to have suffered most from the earthquake on Tuesday. The ‘ Times ’ says the plaster placed over the cracks caused by the previous “quakes” all fell away, and the building altogether seems to have been severely shaken. All over the town, crockery, mantel-piece ornaments, &c., were broken, and several chimneys fell, while a great many more have been so shaken that they will have to be taken down and rebuilt. At Kakanui the shock was felt very severely, and, indeed, all over the district.
