DIRECT TELEGRAMS FROM EUROPE. The following cablegrams have not yet been published here : THE ENGLISH BUDGET. London, April 4. In the House of Commons, Sir Stafford Northcote, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, delivered the budget speech. The revenue for 1875 amounted to L 77,125,000, and the expenditure to L 76,375,000. The estimated revenue for 1876 is L 77,250,000, and the expenditure L 78,000,000, The income-tax is to be increased a penny, and the exemptions and deductions are also to be increased, leaving an estimated surplus at the end of the year of L 375.000.
THE CHINESE MISSION. Singapore, April 5. Mr Grosvenor’s party arrived all well at Yunnonfoo on the 6th of March.
