THE OPERA.
“La Fille de Madame Angot ” was pro- L produced last night for Miss Lambert’s benefit. The audience, though small in number, was very appreciative, and persistently rodemahded the favorite choruses and duets, the conspirators’ chorus being encored for the first time. To-night, for Madame Simonsen’s benefit, a capital, programme is put forward. If **, Sonnambma u is not popular enough to draw a good house —to say nothing of the claims of Madame herself for substantial support—there is a concert which alone should be worth hearing, since Mr Simonsen plays two violin soloi and the principal members of «the company give several popular ballads.
