Same v. L. Webb.—Claim L2l, for ale supplied, Mr Harris, junr, for plaintiff; Mr Q. Cook for defendant, who paid Ll2 into Court, and disputed the remainder of the account—Judgment for plaintiff for amount paid into Court, D. M. Spedding, as trustee in the estate of J. Healey v. Thomson.—Ls IQsiid. balance of account for groceries supplied, Mr Q. B. Barton appeared for defendant, who pleaded that there was on overcharge of 17s 4d, and that L 5 15s 8d of the whole amount was for grog, and therefore not recover-able.-—Mr Spedding; thought a Government servant should be the -last tb urge such a plea;' His "Worship deducted L 8 10s 4d, charged for brandy, gin, and whiskey; but allowed L2 5s 4d for wine kpd portfer, the words in the Act being “ spirituous-liquors." The case was adjourned till to-morrow,, & enable the parties to come to some arrangement respecting the alleged overcharges. Same v. James Li -17s 4d, for groceries supplied. Defendant pleaded not indebted as regarded port of the claim. Judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs. Samev. Edward Moorhoiise.—Claim, L 3 13s 4d, for groceries. Judgment yt/Ss given for plaintiff for the amount claimed, withbdfcts.
