GREEN ISLAND MUNICIPALITY.
_ At the maetinar of the Grasn Island Municipal Council, os Tuesday evening last, it was resolved to set the surveyor appointed by the Council at e> previous meeting, to taka the necessary levels, &0., tor carrying out several improvements in both wards, and to report on the probable cost of the same. At the same meeting on account was re* oeivcd from Movers Joyce and Adams for law coats <7l r« Bunciman. As the account contained some items which it was considered required explanation, the clerk was instructed to make the neces eary inquiries and to report at the next regular meeting. The Court of Appeal was authorised to sit on Monday next at 7 p.m., to hear objections to valuation, and the clerk instructed to get the byelaws gazetted as early as convenient.
