INTERPROVINCIAL PIGEON MATCH.
The pigeon-shooting match between Otagb; and Auckland, which had to be fired over again through amisunderstanding having been come to qii the previous occasion, came off on Saturday -morning. ‘ Mr T. Dodson, - who made ; the highest score before, was now incapacitated from firing through ill-health. Mr, H, Redwood acted as umpire for the Auckland team, Mr Neilson for i .tago, and Mr Petre officiated as puller. The following is the full score of the local team :
A private telegram has been received in town stating that tbe Auckland team scored 205 points, so that the Cup will not, as was hoped, remain in Otago. We have not received the score of the Northeners in detail, so are unable to give the name of the winner of the Cup.
