VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The services of the Richardson and Palmerston Rifles have been accepted by the Governor, and will be duly gazetted. The No. 1 Company fired a handicap at Wakari yesterday morning, when sixteen mexcibers turned out to compete. The morning w.aa piercingly cold, many of the men’s fingers being so numb that it was almost impossible to press the trigger steadily. It will be observed, however, that Vol. Treseder made a capital score, making 25 out of 28 off the shoulder at 200 yds. The prize-takers are annexed;—
