AMUSEMENTS.

THE OPERA.

Despite the-weather and many counter attractions “ Lncrezia" drew a good attendance to the Queen's lost night. Taken as a whole, the opera went ex. tremely well. Madame Simonseu, though not fully got over the effects of the cold she caught on Monday. was heard to advantage in “ Com ’e hello,” and was quite herself in the duet “Di pescatore,” which was far and away the gem of the opera. Madame’s acting in the third and final acts was also good. Mr Morley . continues to grow and deservedly in the good opinions of his hearers. His singing and acting as Geunaro were excellent. In the duet just before mentioned, and in the tr .o in the third act' between the Duchess, Alphonso, and Gennato, he sang with much sweet* ness; and, with Madame, was twice called before the curtain, Miss Lambert and Mr Richardson sharing the compliment. Miss Lambert made a satisfactory Orsini, and narrowly escaped an encore for her rendering of- the well-known “ Orindisi. ” Mr Richardson was Alphonso, the music of which was never intended for a baritone; and Mr Levison Gubetta. The chorus went well, and the band, it need hardly be said, lent most efficient a : d. The hallet of “ The Spanish dancers ” wasrepeated. To-night V Lucia” will be given for the last time; and we strongly recommend those who have not already heard it N not to neglect this opportunity. After the opera, the Leopold family will execute a number of favorite dances . t
