CRICKET.
FAtMSMTON V. CITIZENS. The return match between an eleven of the Palmerston Club and a similar ntunbor of the C.C.C. was played on the Oval to-day. Gwynne umpired for. Palmerston, and M’Gann for the Citizens. Thomson, who captained the visitors, having won the toss, decided on taking the field. Morrison and Stokes were the first to represent the Citizens, bat Moore was not long in scattering Stokes’s timbers. Buns were slowly mode, and the first six wickets fell for twelve runs. M‘Neil and M'Kenzie however got together, and by some good play succeeded in materially increasing the' score. The innings closed for 56. Palmerston totted up 75 in their first innings, of which number Davis contributed 18, Moore 13, and Cobdcn 12. Subjoined are the Scores • CITIZENS—FIEBT INNINGS.
