Clark and Templeton v. Francis Le Brun.— Claim. LI Bs. Mr Lewis appeared for the plaintiff, for whom judgment was given, with cost*.
Craig nnd Gillies v. Wm. Jenkins.—Claim, L 66 13s 3d. dishonored bid of excharge, Mr iVloua>for defendant. The Inner was shouting questions to the plaintiff (who appeal'd to be very deaf), when Mr Mouat requested him not to be “so ferocious/’ Mr Denniaton qffered to wh’sper the questions to Mr iiioua-j. wb•. might, shout them to the witness. The offer was n-turally declined. Judgment for plaintiffs with cos s. Donaldson v. J. J. Uttmg,—Cl im L 8 S" lOd, ineatsupulied.. The e idenoe showed that the plaintiff had kept his books in a ve y careless manner. 'i ho defendant produced receipts for L4.—Judgment was given for L 4 4* 10d, the defendant being allowed costs of court. Moyes v, Grogan.—Claim LI, damages for killing a goose. Mr Bathgate for plaintiff, Mr Lewis for defendant. This case aiose through a neighbors quarrel. The Court was occasionally convulsed with laughter, the principal part of the evidence being given in racy Irish brogue. Judgment went for the defendant. . Alexander and Shenherd v. J.ihn Jedier. Fraud summons for L 3 12s 2d. Mr - Lewis ap peared for the rlaint-ff. The defendant was ordered t > pay 5s a week; in default, fourteen days’ imprisonment.
