THE MANURE DEPOT NUISANCE.
. The principal' case at the Resident Magistrates Court to-day was that of Price v. M’Konzie, which was a claim of LSO, damages through divers offences and pestilential valors from the Mimnra DepAt. Mr Stout appeared for the plaintiff; and Mr Sinclair for the defendant; In opening tha case, Mr Stout said it would not have arisen had the City Council done its duty. This matter of the Manure DepAt nuisance had been! "before the Courts for over eighteen months; - The defendant had alrradv been fined twice. Mr Sinclair said the Corponvn wsa completing negotiations for the removal of the depot altogether. His Worship gave Judgment for the plaintiff for L 5 and costs; Mr Sinclair ; We f'mll be hj Ting a hundred different actions ootnmenced at once. Mr Stout; I hope so. Hid Worship.* It will sharpen them up alittlebit. I give judgment for XS and eosts.
