ThO. present mail arrangements are not very satisfactory. _ The out-goipg daily mail leaves in the morning previous to the incoming one arriving, causing twenty-four hours, to intervene before answering communications. It is hoped this wilt be rectified early. As 'some of your contemporaries proclaim scarlet fever to be prevalent here I must say that if such be present amongst us, it assumes a very mild form. .
