GAS SUPPLY DEPARTMENT. THE Council require the services of a City Gas Inspector for this department j salary at the rate of L2OO per annum. Applications for the situation may be lodged, with testimonials, at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse street, on or before Monday, 2Gth March inst., at 4 p.m. . GAS SUPPLY DEPARTMENT. aAS Consumers are informed that the ' Council, acting through the Gas Committee, has decided to allow the discount of 7s 6d per I,oooft in respect of any gas account for month of January which may be paid on or before the 20tH March inst. After that date, any January cccounts remaining unpaid will be chai ged the full rate or 20s per I,oooft. The foregoing concession is made as regards the accounts for January month “ only,” as possibly the Council’s determination to charge all consumers who do not liquidate their accounts by the 20th of each month the fulTrate of 20s per I,oooft may not have been thoroughly known and understood.
