FIRE-BRIGADE.

To the Editor, Slß,—lnanswer to a letter in last nights' Stab signed “ Admirer of the Firemen,” X beg. to inform that gentleman .that although the Brigade was reconstructed last October there are several of the old members in the new.Bnf ade, and if sufficient funds could be collected am sure that a team, of six or eight men could be sent over that would do justice to the con: fidence placed in them. vVith reference to having a demonstration here, that is quite right; it is with that intention the Brigade are anxious to send men over to Ballarat, for the purpose of enabling them to see the proper way of carrying out such an affa-r in Dunedin. \y e should also have representatives from Victoria, if we paid them the compliment of going there.
