: Henry Driver (on hehalf of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.) reports for the week ending 15th March, 1876: — Fat Cattle.—Seventy-nine head of cattle were yarded at the weekly sale t i-day. This number being a moderate ■ apply, were all sold at rather better prices than have been obtained during the last fortnight. Best -bullocks brought from. L 9to Ll4 j do cows, from L 7 10s to LU 10s, or equal to 30s per 1001b for prime quality, and 21s for medium. . At the yards we sold 30 head, and have placed 50 head privately. Fat Calves.—Only about a dbzen were penned, and brought from 30s to 50s each, according to size and quality. Fat Sheep.—We are still obliged to report an over-stocked market. About 2,800 came forward for the sale to-day, consisting chiefly of good crossbreds. About one half this number were sold, th 4 balance held over for next week. It will therefore be seen that unless supplies come forward less freely the market cannot recover. Best crossbreds brought from 10s fid to 11s 6d each, and merinos at from 7s to 10s 6d, or say 2Jd per lb for former and 2d per lb for latter. At the yards we sold 500, and have placed a like number privately. Fat Lambs.—l3o were penned, and being for the most part of good quality were all taken by the trade at prices ranging from 9s to 11s 6d. We sold 80 at above rates.

Store Cattle.—The market remains unchanged. Well-grown quiet cattle fit for grazingore in request at former quotations. Store Sheep.—We have no alteration to make in our late quotations. Young shew, of every description, continue in good demand, with hut few offering. Daring the week we have sold 4,500 of various .sorts at prices about equal to following quotations:—Cross-breds, 4 and 6-looth, 9s to Si 6d; do, 2-tooth, 7s 6d to 7s 9d; do. lambs, 6s to 7s; merino wethers, 2,4, and 6-tooth, 5s 6d to 6s; do, full-mouthed, 3s to3s 3d; merino ewes, 2,4, and 6-tooth, 6a to 6$ 6d; do, full-mouthed, 2s 9d to 3a 3d.
