THE Council require the services of a City Gas Inspector for this department; salary at the rate of L2OO ner annum. AS Constimers are informed that the \JT Council, acting through the Gas Committee, has declined to allow the discount of 7s 6d per I,oooft in respect of any gas account for inonth of January which may be paid on or be ore the 20th Ma ch inst. • After that date, any January accounts remaining unpaid will be changed the full rate or 20s per l,ooofr. ; The foregoing concession is made as regards the accounts for January month “ only,” as possibly the Council’s determination to charge all consumers who do not liquidate their accounts by the 20th of each month the lull rate of 20s per I,oooft may not have been thoroughly known and understood. • . ; This rule will, as regards the future, be punctually acted upon.
