Mr B. Knap, Secretary of War to the United States, has resigned his position bn account of the disclosure of the sale of a public post by him. Congress intends his impeachment.
, A loan required by the Municipal i Council of Dublin for the improvement of the city was subscribed to the extent of seven times the required amount.
