GREEN ISLAND.

Mr J. Gray was elected without opposition at noon to-day to filled the vacancy causedby the resignation of Councillor Emrie, in the Green Island Municipal Council for North Ward. Mr Gray, who was prepared by Mr John Friend and seconded by Mr James Friend, briefly returned thanks and promised to use his best endeavors for the good of the Ward.
