THE DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY.

The Presbytery, met in the First Church this morning, when there were present the Bov. Mr Qow (in the chair), Eevs. M’Naughton, Copland, Enssel, Greig, Stuart, Kirkland, Will, Blake, and Sutherland: elders, Messrs Todd and Glendining, The Eev. Mr Greig was elected Moderator for the ensuing six months, and the Eev, Mr Sutherland appointed clerk, in the absence of the Eev. Mr Johnstone, of Port Chalmers.

The Bev. Mr Salmond, Professor of Theology, being present, was introduced by the Eev. Dr Stuart. It was agreed that the Professor’s induction shouM take place ou the evening of Wednesday, May 3, at 7.30 p.m., in the First Church. Dr Copland was appointed to preach and preside, and Dr Stuart to address the Professor.

It was agreed to assess congregations for Presbyterian expenses, as b?-st year, Caversham and Blueskin being added to the number. Dr. Stuart reported that the grant voted in aid of Knox Church was being' expended in accordance with the terms under which it was made. The Presbytery accordingly sanctioned a vote of L 2.000.

The Presbytery was sitting when our reporter left.
