T>TJBLIC NOTICE is hereby giyto that, the JT; Assessment for the year ending Blsb'December, 1876, authorised by the “ Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance; 1865,” and the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1872,” of all .buildings," lauds, a tenements,- and hereditaments -within' the City of Dunpdin, according to the .full/ fair, and estimated annual rent at which the ' same might, reasonably be expected to let from year to year, free of all usual tenants’ rates and - tixes, and deducting therefrom the probable average annual cost of the"repairs, insurance,, and other expenses (if any) necessary tjo maintain the same in a state to command such rent, has been made. ~ . Notice isiurther given that the said assessment having, on the 15th day of February, 1876, been allowed by the Council of the said City, is now deposited, and may be daily inspected at my office, in Manse street, in the Si.id City, between the hours ef l§ a.m. and S p.m.; on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p,m., by any person interested therein. ■ And notice is further given that any appeals against the said assessment may be lodged at the City Council Chambers, Manse street (where blank forms may be had), on or before the 11th March, 1876; also, that a copy of each notice of appeal is required by law to be served not later than the llth March next upon any person whose name it may be proposed to insert in the assessment, or whbse property it may be alleged has been omitted therefrom, or assessed beloWrits full, fair, abd ahnual value.
