Missing Strathmore. WRECKED ON THE CROZETS. . Sydney, February 29. • Bombay, February 25. A sbijr touched at Galle yesterday, and lauded' twenty survivors of the Strathmore, from London to Port Chalmers, which was wrecked on Crozet Island In July 1875. v They were rescued in a , wretched cbndrtion on January 22 by the American whaler Phoenix, which fell in with and transferred' them to ‘the Josh Bentley. .Mr Chombie was , landed at Mr and Mrs Wordsworth* Mr. Walker, and Mt Eeith remained in the Phoenix. The captain and Unite of the Strathmore were drowned; The Strathmore left London on April 17 with ihe following passengeisChief cabin !; *MV Percy Joilen, Mr Spencer Josleo, _M r and Mrs Alfred .Walker and child, Mr Hylton Keith, Mr Thomas Henderson and Miss Maggie Henderson (children of-Mr Henderson, C.K., of Brogden and Son*), Mr Fred. The Crozets are east of the Cape of Good Hope, being situated ia about lat. 45° and long. 50 E.
