DANGEROUS.
To the Editor, Sir.—l am not naturally of a querulous nature, but, if circumstances al f er cases, perhaps they have the same effect upon dispositions. I would wish if posa ble to draw the attention of the powers that be to a post that sticks up on the curb-stone in George street to the danger of pedestrians who travel at the ordinary rate of locomotion. I myself have often very narrowly escaped impalement by the most active dodging. If the post must be left thei e perhaps somebody will kindly draw out those sp’kes, whichhave evidently been so put in as to catch a man in that part of the anatomy of which, when in a hurry, he has most need. For my own part I can’t see much difference between saidthe post and building materials being left on the road. But if it is impossible to get removed I propose that someone go round with a hat for subscriptions for a damages asylum, as I can guarantee that there will be no lack of applicants.—l am, &c , ' rx , Winded Dunedm, February 22.
