Wellington, February 16. Dr Hector has just sent out to the Botaivcal Gardens a case of struck cuttings of the cork oak, procured with difficulty from Kew Gardens. It is, bel eyed the c'imate of New ; Zealand is well adapted to the growth of this valuable tree. Sir Julius Vogel brought th-m out in the Somersetshire. They are bedded out in the Botanical Gardens.
