Dairy produce is somewhat ,easier. Cheese is coming more freely into the market, and in consequence has suffered a decline of id per lb. Butter is also lower, and may be bought at 9d to lOd per lb., Candles are unchanged. Kerosene is now more sought after, and is regarded with increasing confidence. Dried fruits are pretty mush as they were. Snltanas continue very scarce and realise 9Jd; currants,, 4Jd per lb. The stock of comsacks is very heavy, and, notwithstanding the harvest prospects, prices are low. They may be quoted at 9s 6d.
