BIRTHS AND DEATHS.
, The Gdverhmehtbas issued guides to persons registering under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875. In the case of birthsj. the, persons who are required to be informants, and t'6 sign the register book as such within 62 days of .the*.birth, are 1, the father or mother of the child; 2, in the case of the death absence, or inability, of the parents, the occupier of the house or tenement in which such child shall have been bom; and 3, some person present at the birth (each person present being "liable for non-registration).. An argent duly authorised in writing, may be deputed by any of the above to perform"'the act A of registration. The particulars to be registered are 1. when bom;; 2;- where born ;■ 3j faame. of child, if given at time of registration ; 4, sex; 5, name and surname of father; 6, Kink, profession, or occupation of father ; 7, ajge of father; 8, birthplace of father; 9, name and maiden name of mother ; 10, age of mother; 11, birthplace of mother; 12, when and where father and mother were married. . ‘ In the caae of deaths; the persons -Who are required to act as informants, and to sign the register-hook as such' within 31 days of the death, under a penalty of, LlO, ate —l, the occupied of the house or tenement in which such death took place; 2 ? some relative of the deceased person present at the death ; 3, each person present at the death ; 4, the-undertaker having charge j6i the funeral. Any of the above may depute , s P mo . ont! acquainted with and becoming re.sponsible for the truth of the particulars required by the Act to perform the registration.
