ST. KILDA MUNICIPALITY.
The third meeting of the Council was held aMh- Council Office, St. Kildi, last night. His Worship the Mayor was in the chair, and ah the councillors were present. r Cook declined to accept the office of Town Clerk, Valuator, and G Hector, on account of the smallness of the salary, but consented to fill the duties temporarily. Ihj 'Clerk was instructed to write to Mr Dodds informing him of his appointment as Town Clerk, Yalnatr r, and Collector.
It was resolved “ That the Council make arrangements with the school committee for the use of the school-room for Council meetings when practicable. ’ Messrs Sievwrighfc and Stout were appointed solicitors to the municipality, and the clerk was instructed to inform them accordingly. The Conn cl were unanimous in the appointment of Mr Hay as engineer to the Corporation, and that a plan be forthwith drawn up showing the section, blocks, and boundaries. The Council resolved on forming themselves into a committee to frame bye-laws for the Corporation
The Council adjourned until Tuesday, the 25th inst., at 8 p.m.
