Auckland, January 12. The New Zealand insurance Company’s half yearly meet'ng was held 20-day. The report stated that notwithstanding the heavy losses which have attended marine insurance operations during the past six months, the directors consider they are fortunate in being able to present a satisfactory report, evincing the steady advancement made by the company for the half year. The total receipts, inclusive of a balance from last year, amount to L 109,771, showing an increase in the premiums of Fi11,154 over the corresponding hall-year of 1871. The total expenditure for the same period was 1-99 271, inclusive of a sum of L 17,578 estimated as sufficient to cover all accepted losses and averages. There remains at credit to the profit and loss account 1.19,489. of which the directors declare a dividend of fifteen per cent, which will absorb E12,250. The directors announce that new and commodious offices have been er«jt-:d in Plot street. Sydney, The chief losses were in the ships Strathmore and Strathnavcr. Two girls named Hackett and Bushett got out of their depth while bathing near the Heads, and were drowned. The bodies have , been recovered.
